Itinerary

Departure from Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Arrival at New Chitose International Airport

  • Visit Lake Shikotsu ( one of Japan’s clearest and deepest lakes, formed in a volcanic caldera and known for never freezing in winter due to its depth. It’s surrounded by beautiful forests and offers year-round outdoor activities like kayaking, diving, and ice festivals.)
  • Visit Sapporo Mosque ( the first mosque in Hokkaido, was established in 1998 and serves as a cultural and religious center for the Muslim community. It also hosts educational events to promote understanding of Islam among locals and tourists)
  • Spend time and money at Tanukikoji Arcade Street (covered shopping arcade stretching over 7 blocks, filled with local shops, restaurants, and quirky souvenirs. It’s one of Sapporo’s oldest shopping streets and great for casual strolling, even in snow)

Check In

  • Have an amazing time at Otaru Aquarium (houses over 5,000 sea creatures and offers daily performances by dolphins and sea lions. Its outdoor tanks are open even in winter, showcasing hardy marine animals like penguins braving the snow)
  • Stroll along the Otaru Canal (once a bustling part of the port city’s trade route, is now a romantic spot with gas lamps and stone warehouses lining the water. It’s especially magical during the Snow Light Path Festival when it’s lit by thousands of candles)
  • Explore the magnificent Sakaimachi Street (a preserved merchant street filled with historic buildings, glass workshops, and local treats like LeTAO cheesecake. It’s a charming spot to experience Otaru’s Meiji and Taisho-era architecture)
  • Stop and pray at  Otaru Mosque (a small but active center for Muslim worship in a city known more for its historical charm. It reflects the quiet diversity of Otaru and provides a welcoming space for Muslim travelers)
  • Marvel at the Christmas Tree (is a festive symbol decorated with thousands of lights. It adds a warm, holiday spirit to the snowy landscape of Sapporo every winter)
  • Take a photo at Shirahige Waterfall (meaning “White Beard Falls,” features unique cobalt-blue waters due to volcanic minerals mixing with Biei River. It looks especially mystical in winter, surrounded by snow and often illuminated at night.)
  • Wonder around the magical Ningle Terrace (offers panoramic views of the Blue Pond and surrounding forests, perfect for tranquil reflection or photography. It’s an off-the-beaten-path gem for those seeking quiet natural beauty)
  • Have an exciting adventure and various fun activities at Taking Suzuran Snow World. (winter park where visitors enjoy snow tubing, skiing, and snowshoeing in a family-friendly setting. In warmer months, it transforms into a vibrant flower park with tulip and lavender fields)
  • Shop around Mitsui Outlet (massive shopping center offering discounted Japanese and international brands. It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking for deals near Sapporo)
  • Visit Asahiyama Memorial Park (offers a panoramic view of Sapporo city, especially stunning at night with sparkling city lights. The park also features beautiful gardens and is a peaceful escape from the city)
  • Explore Shiroi Koibito Park (chocolate-themed wonderland where visitors can see how Hokkaido’s famous cookies are made. It combines a working factory, European-style gardens, and whimsical attractions.)
  • Spend time and money at Tanukikoji Arcade Street (covered shopping arcade stretching over 7 blocks, filled with local shops, restaurants, and quirky souvenirs. It’s one of Sapporo’s oldest shopping streets and great for casual strolling, even in snow)
